Groaning’s

Image
I love this! The Lord hears your groaning! He hears the cry of your heart! He is able to deliver you! Beloved, what is your need today?  “Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.  So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.” (Exodus 2:23-25) We know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Others

Image
Heavenly Father, Creator of heaven and earth, I pray for many that are contemplating suicide. I pray that the light of your Spirit would pierce the darkness of their heart and mind.  I pray that those who are strong will comfort those who are weak. I pray that we would not become self-absorbed in this time of self isolation, and self protection, but more than ever before we would become others focused.  “Others Lord, yes others! Let this my motto be, help me to live for others that I might live like Thee!”   I pray that each of us would find someone to reach out to. I thank you Lord that you reached out to us! I thank you for leaving the comfort and protection and beauty of Heaven, to enter this sin cursed earth. You came to redeem it. You laid your life down to save us.  Help us to lay down our lives to save others! Show us how in the best way possible.  Help us not to love our lives but to lose our lives for the good of others! In Jesus precious name, amen!...

Songs in the night

Image
I was reading in Job chapter 35, when my eyes stopped at verse 10, “God my Maker, who gives songs in the night.” Are you going through a night of trial and testing my friend? Read on below, a devotional by L.B. Cowman, that will lift your heart to sing songs in the night!  But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and  salvation ; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.   —2 Cor 1:6-7 Are there not some in your circle to whom you naturally betake yourself in times of trial and sorrow? They always seem to speak the right word, to give the very counsel you are longing for; you do not realize, however, the cost which they had to pay ere they became so skillful in binding up the gaping wounds and drying tears. But if you were to investigate their past hi...

Are you facing a battle?

Image
“They cried out to God in the battle. He heeded their prayer, because they put their trust in him.” (1 Chronicles 5:20, 22)  We are in a battle. We are living in enemy territory. Satan, God’s enemy does want to steal kill and destroy. Jesus did come to set the captives free. To give life, and give it more abundantly. (John 10:10) I don’t know what battle you are facing today, but our victory depends on the Victor, Jesus Christ Himself! Cry out to Him today! “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!” (Romans 10:13) Satan is a defeated foe! We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6)  “You’ll never stand taller then when down on your knees.” 🙏🏻

How can I keep from singing?

Image
I had the following song playing in the background as I was driving with her. She has been suffering for some time now, longing for relief, visiting Doctor’s in hopes of an answer, but in vain. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12) As the song played, we heard these words,  “ My life flows on in endless song   Above earth's lamentation I hear the real though far off hymn That hails a new creation.” With this, she raised her arms up to the heavens, as tears ran down her face, and with a heartfelt cry, she said, “I’m ready Lord! You can take me home!”  Our hearts cry, “It’s not supposed to be this way!” No, you’re right. It’s not. “ Heavenly Father, ThankYou for preparing a place for your children, a place where every tear will be wiped away! There will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying! Neither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things will have passed away!” (Revelations 21:4)  My life flows on in endless song Above earth's lame...

Triumph over Doubt

Image
I must learn that the purpose of my life belongs to God, not me. God is using me from His great personal perspective, and all He asks of me is that I trust Him. I should never say, “Lord, this causes me such heartache.” To talk that way makes me a stumbling block. When I stop telling God what I want, He can freely work His will in me without any hindrance. He can crush me, exalt me, or do anything else He  chooses. He simply asks me to have absolute faith in Him and His goodness. Self-pity is of the devil, and if I wallow in it I cannot be used by God for His purpose in the world. Doing this creates for me my own cozy “world within the world,” and God will not be allowed to move me from it because of my fear of being “frost-bitten.” -Oswald Chambers

Where does your HOPE lie?

Image
David’s prayer has been on my mind a lot the last couple days! “I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” (Psalm 27:13,14)  This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have HOPE. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I HOPE in HIM!” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:21-25) The word, “ Porti on ,” means, “highest prized treasure!” Is God my highest prized treasure? He longs to be!  Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not . (Galatians 6:9)  The following verse from the song, “You are my all in all,” grips me every time! “Seeking YOU as a precious jewel, Lord, to giv...
