Where does your HOPE lie?

David’s prayer has been on my mind a lot the last couple days! “I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” (Psalm 27:13,14)

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have HOPE. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I HOPE in HIM!” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:21-25)

The word, “Portion,” means, “highest prized treasure!” Is God my highest prized treasure? He longs to be!

Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9)

The following verse from the song, “You are my all in all,” grips me every time! “Seeking YOU as a precious jewel, Lord, to give up I’d be a fool, YOU are my all in all!” 🎵

“Heavenly Father, be Thou my vision, Oh Lord of my heart! Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art! Thou, my best thought by day or by night, waking or sleeping, Thy presence, my light!”
