How can I keep from singing?

I had the following song playing in the background as I was driving with her. She has been suffering for some time now, longing for relief, visiting Doctor’s in hopes of an answer, but in vain. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” (Proverbs 13:12) As the song played, we heard these words,

My life flows on in endless song
Above earth's lamentation

I hear the real though far off hymn

That hails a new creation.”

With this, she raised her arms up to the heavens, as tears ran down her face, and with a heartfelt cry, she said, “I’m ready Lord! You can take me home!”

Our hearts cry, “It’s not supposed to be this way!” No, you’re right. It’s not. “Heavenly Father, ThankYou for preparing a place for your children, a place where every tear will be wiped away! There will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying! Neither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things will have passed away!” (Revelations 21:4)

My life flows on in endless song
Above earth's lamentation
I hear the real though far off hymn
That hails a new creation

No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that rock I'm clinging
It sounds an echo in my soul
How can I keep from singing?

What though the tempest round me roars
I know the truth, it liveth
What though the darkness round me close
Songs in the night it giveth

No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that rock I'm clinging
Since love is Lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?

I lift my eyes, the cloud grows thin
I see the blue above it
And day by day this pathway smoothes
Since first I learned to love it

The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart
A fountain ever springing
All things are mine since I am his
How can I keep from singing?
