Reflecting Him

                      Exodus 34:29-35

In this passage, God graciously gives Moses the Ten Commandments on two tablets of stone, after the first ones were destroyed. As Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai after receiving them from the Lord, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining! So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, they were afraid to come near him. It was a sight they had not witnessed before.

Someone once said, “You become like the one you worship.” David said in Psalm 16:11, In Your presence is fullness of joy…”

Pharaoh took notice of Joseph’s relationship with the Lord when he said, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” (Genesis 41:38)

Indeed, “…it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6)

How much time do we spend in the presence of the Lord, meditating on His word, and in prayer?

Do you know my fellow Christian, everywhere and every place, men are looking for the image of the Master in your face? And the image you’re reflecting is distorted or is fair just according to the measure of the time you spend in prayer?” -Unknown
