Give thanks

Today I watched as a man wheeled himself up the road through the melted snow. He was determined to reach his destination. He had lost the use of his legs but not his arms. I paused to give thanks for the use of my legs. How often do we take things for granted in this life, forgetting those who struggle to get by most days? “Lord, teach us to be grateful!”

 “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalms 34:1)

Are you looking for the light?

Psalms 119:130; The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. John 8:12; Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” 1 John 1:5; This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:7; But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Choices

In a world of darkness, I choose the light.  In a world of evil, I choose the good.  In times of sorrow, I choose joy.  When Satan deceives me, I choose the truth. When fears arise, I choose the Father’s peace. When religion knocks at my door, I choose a relationship with my Creator, through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for the forgiveness of my sin. When doubts arise, I choose to believe.  What or whom do you choose today?  “Today, if you will hear His (Jesus) voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” -Hebrews 3:7, 8
