Ministering through song

I had the privilege of providing some home care for a beautiful senior lady who struggles with a lot of pain. As I was helping her through some of her stretches, I began to quietly sing to her about my Saviour. She burst into tears. Tears that told me she was genuinely comforted, and felt so loved by the One who made her. I didn’t realize how very important the following scripture was until I witnessed it’s power in this lady. Is there someone who needs encouragement through song today? Let us sing. Let us praise our Maker through the pain. Victory will come. 🎵 

“Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…”—Ephesians 5:19, 20

Are you looking for the light?

Psalms 119:130; The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. John 8:12; Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” 1 John 1:5; This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:7; But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Choices

In a world of darkness, I choose the light.  In a world of evil, I choose the good.  In times of sorrow, I choose joy.  When Satan deceives me, I choose the truth. When fears arise, I choose the Father’s peace. When religion knocks at my door, I choose a relationship with my Creator, through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for the forgiveness of my sin. When doubts arise, I choose to believe.  What or whom do you choose today?  “Today, if you will hear His (Jesus) voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” -Hebrews 3:7, 8
