Joy in believing

Working at the hospital today. I had a patient who was a “tough IV start,” so I wrapped his arm in a warm blanket. “Is there anything I can do to help?” He asked. So I told him, “You pray and I’ll poke!” Haha! “I can’t do that. It’s not going to work because I’m an atheist,” he told me laughing. 


My next patient was a believer and proceeded to tell me prayer after prayer that had been answered in his life! What a contrast! Blessed are those who BELIEVE! (John 20:29)


May The God of HOPE fill you with all joy and peace in BELIEVING so that you may abound in HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Psalms 119:130; The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. John 8:12; Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” 1 John 1:5; This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:7; But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Choices

In a world of darkness, I choose the light.  In a world of evil, I choose the good.  In times of sorrow, I choose joy.  When Satan deceives me, I choose the truth. When fears arise, I choose the Father’s peace. When religion knocks at my door, I choose a relationship with my Creator, through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for the forgiveness of my sin. When doubts arise, I choose to believe.  What or whom do you choose today?  “Today, if you will hear His (Jesus) voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” -Hebrews 3:7, 8
