Why our Nation is in trouble
Hear the word of the LORD...
For the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land:

Or knowledge of God in the land.
By swearing and lying,
Killing and stealing and committing adultery,
They break all restraint,
With bloodshed upon bloodshed.
Therefore the land will mourn;
And everyone who dwells there will waste away
With the beasts of the field
And the birds of the air;
Even the fish of the sea will be taken away.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.* -God, through the prophet Hosea, chapter 4:1-6
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction."
-Proverbs 1:7
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."-Matthew 5:6
"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby."-1 Peter 2:2
"If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them." -John 13:17
