The Morning Watch

“...You shall not be forgotten of me.” -The Lord to Israel through the prophet Isaiah, 44:21 Philip P. Bliss penned these beautiful words, “If I forget Him and wander away, Still He doth love me wherever I stray; Back to His dear loving arms would I flee, When I remember that Jesus loves me.” Now hear these loving words from   Isaiah 30:15, For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”  "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” -Jesus in John 6:37

I was doing foot care this morning. The early sun light was streaming in through the window, and suddenly this scripture gripped my heart. I don’t know what heavy burdens are weighing you down today, but I want you to know there is One whose love will never let you go! ❤️ O Love that will not let me go, I rest my weary soul in thee; I give thee back the life I owe, That in thine ocean depths its flow May richer, fuller be. O Light that foll’west all my way, I yield my flick’ring torch to thee; My heart restores its borrowed ray, That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day May brighter, fairer be. O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, That morn shall tearless be. O Cross that liftest up my head, I dare not ask to fly from thee; I lay in dust life’s glory dead, And from the ground there blossoms red Life that shall endless be. -George Matheson
